Vector Research + Development Inc. is a full-service market
and opinion research company and has worked in the private
and public sectors for over 20 years. Marc Zwelling (right)
is president and founder of Vector Research.
Marc Zwelling is a member of AAPOR,
The American Association for Public Opinion Research, and MRIA,
the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association. Marc
Zwelling is also an MRIA Certified Marketing Research Professional,
a designation limited to fewer than 15% of Canadian market
researchers.

Key Experience and Expertise
Public Relations
Vector Research was the creator and developer for the Sound
Bite Machine, a brain-storming aid for leaders, politicians
and others facing unscripted media interviews and scrums.
Turning Strategies into Action
Vector Research introduced polling to Canadian
unions, helping them develop strategies and messages that
resonate with their members, potential members and the public.
Keynote Speaking
Marc Zwelling has been keynote speaker at meetings and seminars
for the Ontario Hospital Association, the Conference Board
of Canada, Canadian Broadcasting Corp., the Nursing Leadership
Institute, British Columbia Human Resources Management Association,
the Health Leaders’ Institute, community colleges, the
Canadian Labour Congress National Political Action Committee,
McGill Institute for the Study of Canada, the Canadian Nurses’
Association and the Canadian Forces Staff and Command College
(NATO Officers’ Course).
Consulting on Change
Vector Research has consulted on long-term economic, social,
and technological change for the presidents of Ontario's community
colleges (training and employment), the Science Council of
Canada (new technologies), the Privy Council Office (communications),
and other organizations.
Forecasting, Strategic Planning and Innovation
In 1982-98 Marc was director of forecasting for the Intercorporate
Futures Group®, a network of executives in
long-range planning in 50 business, government and nonprofit
organizations including Bell Canada, Enbridge, NOVA, CMHC,
TransCanada PipeLines, Manitoba Hydro, CN Rail, Sears, and
other organizations in the public and private sectors.
In 1982-1996 in collaboration with the Canadian futurist and
author John Kettle, Marc published The FutureLetter, a newsletter
on marketing, economic, demographic, technological and social
trends with some 1,200 readers.
In 2010 Marc was the consultant to the steering committee for the Ontario 2020 project on the province's future.
